The Registered Master Builders 2021 State of the Sector survey is live. We would greatly appreciate your views on the key issues and opportunities facing the building and construction sector.

Construction plays a vital role in the New Zealand economy – contributing some $20 billion to GDP each year and sustaining over 540,000 jobs. Despite the current boom, we face a myriad of issues – many out of our control, such as the Government’s proposed immigration reset, acute labour constraints, low manufacturing capacity, and supply chain disruption. Our building sector is experiencing a perfect storm. This is a chance for you to have a say on some of these crucial issues.

Gaining a greater understanding of the issues from those on the ground is key to ensuring robust discussion and sustainable solutions. Our annual State of the Sector is a vital part of understanding these issues.
