Master Builders have organised in conjunction with the Institute of Architects a webinar on Navigating Alternative Plasterboard Systems. We’ve brought together an expert panel of speakers to help builders, designers and consent authorities to understand what’s available now and how best to navigate the approvals requirements for alternative products. 

The panel will cover:

  • Available plasterboard alternatives and the supporting technical information
  • Getting alternative plasterboards approved on projects and the consenting requirements, specifically what’s happening in Auckland
  • Building with plasterboard alternatives

    Campbell Mattson – Managing Director, Location Homes
Campbell Mattson is an owner and director of multiple companies operating in the fields of construction, land development and building material supplies including affordable luxury design and build company Location Homes.
 








    Jeff Fahrensohn – Manager Building Inspections, Auckland Council
Jeff manages the Inspection, CCC and BWOF teams as part of the Building Consents department in Auckland Council. One of Jeff’s key focus areas is helping the industry lift construction quality and productivity. 
 









    Alec Couchman – Director, Brewer Davidson  
Alec is a registered architect in NZ and the United Kingdom with over 25 years' experience working for practices such as Hamilton Associates, DEGW and Warren and Mahoney. 
 






   Dave Gittings - Manager Building Performance and Engineering, MBIE
Dave has run his own construction and joinery business before embarking on tertiary study culminating in a completion of PhD. In 2011 he started work at the Department of Building and Housing which transitioned into MBIE. After having the Infrastructure, Services and Regulatory Managers role in Carterton District Council, he has returned to MBIE as the Manager Building Performance and Engineering.
