What you need to know, what it means for the sector, and information and resources for you and your business.

The world is very different today to what it was a few weeks ago. It is important that we work together to get through these unprecedented times. The Master Builders team are actively working to support and  advocate for the health and long-term sustainability of our sector.

We are closely monitoring the fast-moving situation around COVID-19. On this page you’ll find regularly updated content that informs and supports you and your business during this period.

COVID-19 Information

The Government have created a website with all critical information on the virus and it’s impacts. It's the best place to access accurate and up-to-date information on COVID-19.

The Government have announced a four tired Alert system surrounding COVID-19. The country is at Alert Level 1.

For information on what this means for you, your family and business click here.

As part of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Levels 3 and 2) Order 2020, all businesses must display a copy of the Government QR Code for their business. Businesses have until the 19th of August to comply. Generating a code is easy and only requires contact details and a NZBN. To create a code for your business, click here

As per the Level 2 Protocols, all construction sites must keep track of people entering and leaving the site for contact tracing purposes. This can be achieved through site registers.

However, we also recommend that sites use the COVID-19 app and QR code system in addition to the register.  This helps people, like sub-contractors, who are visiting the site (and if necessary, the Ministry of Health) keep an easy electronic record of the sites they’ve been.
