Vertical Construction Leaders Group Update
Work has continued through lockdown in response to COVID-19 for the Vertical Leaders. They were an active participant in the development of the Vertical and Horizontal Construction Protocols alongside SiteSafe, CHASNZ and the Civil Contractors. They’ve also actively engaged with the Infrastructure Reference Group on the “shovel ready projects.” It was pleasing to see the Reference Group recognise the importance of vertical infrastructure to not only the New Zealand economy, but as a place maker for our urban environments.
Work with PwC on what a good construction company looks like is continuing. They have made significant headway and are now developing the benchmarking system for first testing at the end of June. PwC have recently released a thought leadership piece on the impact of COVID-19 and the growing importance of this criteria for sector recovery. To read the thought leadership piece click here.
