Canterbury Region Supreme Winners Announced

14 July 2025

On Friday night we announced the Canterbury Region House of the Year winners for 2025. This year, there were 63 beautiful homes entered from around the Canterbury region. The much anticipated event was celebrated at Te Pae Convention Centre, Christchurch and was a fantastic evening of celebration. We hope everyone who attended had a great night.

Supreme House of the Year Over $1 Million

This home also won the New Home Over $4 million Category and a Gold Award, as well as awards for Interior Design and Kitchen Excellence.

This home also won the Altus Window Systems New Home $750,000 - $1 million category and a Gold Award.

This home also won the Renovation $1 million - $2 million category and a Gold Award, as well as the Lifestyle award for Outdoor Living Excellence.

This renovation is a complete reinvention yet still honours the home’s 1990s beginnings. It strikes a confident balance between past and present, blending the original character with modern lifestyle needs in a way that feels natural and lasting.

The use of new, specialised formwork, including curved concrete features finished in plaster, shows expert attention to detail. From form to function, including the calm of the bathhouse and the energy of the billiard room, this is a home made for entertaining. The kitchen detailing is likewise flawless, and the hidden door leading to more living spaces is a highlight.
