COVID-19 Update - Super Saturday

As per today’s announcement, Northland and parts of Waikato that are currently in Alert Level 3, will remain at Alert Level 3 for another five days. This will be reviewed on Monday 18 October. Auckland restrictions also remain unchanged. Please continue your hard work by getting tested and vaccinated. Your mahi is recognised by the sector and wider community.

Unfortunately, cases are rising in the construction sector. We remind all our members, and all in our sector, to please make sure you are following all the health and safety protocols and requirements while at work. This includes maintaining social distancing, face coverings, and adhering to the CHASNZ protocols, which can be found here.

Continue to check locations of interest and get tested if you have symptoms or have visited a location or suburb of interest.

Super Saturday

This Saturday, 16th October 2021 is Super Saturday! We encourage and support vaccination of all eligible New Zealanders against COVID-19. Whether this Saturday is your first or second dose, it all counts towards reaching our 90% goal.
Summer is around the corner and getting vaccinated is the best way to secure a classic Kiwi summer.

Get Involved

Here are ways you can get involved in Super Saturday:

Get vaccinated!

Either get your first dose, or if it has been over 3 weeks since your first dose, get your second dose now. Vaccination centres can be found here

If you have received both doses, offer to go with your friend to a vaccination centre and shout them a coffee afterwards.

Spread the word about Super Saturday

Think about what you can do as an individual or as a workplace. This could be giving your team time off work to have their vaccination.

Use the COVID-19 downloadable resources and share them with your staff and customers. These can be accessed here.

Talk to people about why you got the vaccine

It helps others who have concerns. Drop round or pick up the phone and have a chat about why you got vaccinated and how it was for you.

Share reliable information

Some people still need information they can trust if they are not sure how to book or are worried about vaccination.

Use the COVID-19 downloadable resources and share them with your staff. These can be accessed here

Super Saturday Vaxathon

New Zealand’s first ever Vaxathon will take place this Super Saturday, 16 October, encouraging New Zealanders to get vaccinated. It will be streamed live on Three, Māori Television, and Hahana, 12pm to 8pm.
