Central North Island Supreme Winners Announced

14 July 2025

On Saturday night night we announced the Central North Island House of the Year winners for 2025. This year, there were 22 beautiful homes entered from around the Central North Island region. The much anticipated event was celebrated at Toi Toi Functions in Hastings and was a fantastic evening of celebration. We hope everyone who attended had a great night.

Supreme House of the Year Over $1 Million

DAVCON
for a home in Havelock North, Hawke's Bay

This home also won the New Home over $4 million category, the Mitre10 Craftsmanship Award, a Gold Award, and Lifestyle awards for Outdoor Living and Bathroom Excellence.

Situated above Hawke’s Bay, this commanding home is a masterclass in thoughtful design and refined execution. Every element has been purposefully considered, from the effortless flow between family zones and private retreats, to the dramatic use of stone which anchors the home with strength and permanence.

Inside and out, the detailing is impeccable. Structural ingenuity lies discreetly beneath the surface, enabling sweeping, open spaces without compromise. Even a six-month pandemic pause couldn’t slow the project’s momentum. The finished result is a triumph of craftsmanship, vision, and sheer determination

Supreme House of the Year Under $1 Million

EHAUS MANAWATU
for a home in Aokautere, Manawatū

This home also won the Altus Window Systems New Home $750,000 - $1 million category and a Gold Award.

This home is a testament to how simplicity, when executed with discipline and intent, can result in a home that excels in both form and performance. By stripping away unnecessary elements, it creates a peaceful, organised space that feels surprisingly roomy, despite its small size. Every element has a purpose, contributing to an environment that is not only beautiful, but also highly liveable.

The balance between aesthetic elegance and technical precision is exceptional, elevating this project well beyond expectations. An outstanding project and a worthy Supreme Award winner.

Supreme Renovation of the Year

INSPIRED PROJECTS
for a home in Havelock North, Hawke’s Bay

This home also won the Renovation $1 million - $2 million category, a Gold Award, and the Lifestyle Award for Interior Design.

This home renovation is a compelling example of what can be achieved through a clear and consistent design, underpinned by a refined selection of materials and finishes. Every detail, from custom-built furniture to sophisticated joinery, show a careful and considered approach. The restrained, balanced colour palette reinforces the overall design vision, contributing to a sense of calm and cohesion throughout.

It’s a standout example of how a creative and considered interior redesign can elevate a home, enhancing livability while remaining true to the original architecture and the homeowner’s needs.
