Master Builders and Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), marking a significant step forward in strengthening collaboration across our industry and across the value chain.
In an informal signing ceremony held in Auckland, both Presidents and Chief Executives signed the agreement, underscoring our shared commitment to improving New Zealand’s built environment.
Through this partnership, RMBA and NZIA will work together where our objectives align, including:
- Advocacy: jointly championing reforms in areas such as consenting, building standards, workforce development, procurement, and sustainability.
- Thought leadership: sharing research and insights to inform government, industry, and the wider public.
- Engagement: coordinating our efforts with Ministers, officials, and stakeholders to amplify aligned messages.
- Events and initiatives: exploring opportunities to co-host or support forums, workshops, and other industry events.
This agreement is a clear signal of the value of collaboration across the sector, as we work to deliver quality, resilience, and sustainability for New Zealand’s built environment.
