Entries Open for Apprentice of the Year 2021
Are you our next Apprentice of the Year?
The search is on for New Zealand's top carpentry apprentice, as the Master Builders Apprentice of the Year in partnership with CARTERS competition kicks off for 2021.
Apprentice of the Year is the leading apprentice competition for the building and construction sector. Our competition recognises the country's top talent and raises awareness of the industry's great career opportunities.
Every year, a Kiwi apprentice builder takes out the national title - launching their career and establishing them as one of New Zealand's top carpentry apprentices.
Remember – entry is open to all carpentry apprentices - not just those who work for a Master Builder or are trained by BCITO.
Are you, or someone you know, ready to take on the challenge?
Check out the Entry Guide, or get straight to our website to enter.
Why enter?
There are more than $100,000 worth of fantastic prizes up for grabs from our sponsors, including the use of a Nissan Navara for a year proudly provided by CARTERS!
And of course, there is the experience of competing against New Zealand’s best carpentry apprentices, getting recognition for your skills and achievements, meeting other apprentices and industry leaders and vying for the coveted title of the 2021 Apprentice of the Year.
What’s in it for Employers?
The amazing employers are celebrated for investing in apprentices and giving back to industry and are recognised for helping their apprentices realise their potential.
Attracting talent is getting harder and harder – so show that you value your staff and are supporting the future of our industry.
It is also a great opportunity to meet industry leaders and get exposure for your business by having a top notch apprentice.
Who is eligible to enter?
Apprentices must be:
- Be 30 years old or younger on 31 December 2021 and therefore born after 1 January 1991.
