“As an employer I’d probably encourage other employers to get their apprentices in on the competition. Firstly, there are so many benefits they gain from being in the competition. Not only tips, but also getting to know people and the experience. Even if they don’t win, there is so much to be gained, winning is just the icing on the cake really. Secondly, it’s a great marketing opportunity. It’s all over social media, so it’s really good, free marketing for the company.”

- Chris Keane, Keane Building

“The competition itself was a blast. In the regional competition I loved showcasing my work to the judges during the site visit. I am proud of the work that we do, and it was great to showcase it to industry professionals. Meeting the other apprentices was the best part. To hear how their apprenticeships were going and the differences in our industry was incredible.”

- Jack Nevines, Master Builders CARTERS 2023 Apprentice of the Year winner
